The Alzheimer's Association of the Great Plains is one of 83 chapters affiliated with the National Alzheimer's Association, which is the world leader in Alzheimer research and support. Through its national network of advocates and chapters, the Alzheimer's Association advances research, improves services and care, creates awareness of Alzheimer's disease and mobilizes support.

Chapter Services
The Alzheimer's Association of the Great Plains Chapter serves 80 of 93 Nebraska counties, and all of Wyoming. Our programs and services include:
- More than 50 support groups across the region.
- Toll-free Helpline, 1-800-272-3900
- Financial assistance for respite care (Call for information about respite in your area.)
- Safe Return, a program that helps locate and return to safety people with dementia who have wandered away from home.
- Annual research and education conferences for caregivers and healthcare professionals in Nebraska and Wyoming.
- In-service training for nursing home and assisted living staffs, law enforcement officers, paramedics and firefighters; educational workshops for beginning caregivers and in-home companions, and support group facilitators.
- An extensive lending video and book lending library for people who need to learn more about the disease, and many helpful brochures.
