The Alzheimer's Association of the Great Plains has hundreds of volunteers who participate in the work of the Chapter in a variety of ways. Whether you can spare only a little bit of time or make a more significant time commitment we hope that you will join us in our very special community. Together, we'll work toward a world without Alzheimer's.

There are many ways to volunteer.

  • Special Events
Help us raise money for the Great Plains Chapter through events, such as Memory Walk, The Stars Are Out Gala or apple sales.

  • Become a support group leader
If you have a social services background, we can train you to lead groups for caregivers or for people who are in the early stages of Alzheimer's.

  • Become an advocate
Help shape laws at the city and state levels by communicating Association positions to legislators and educating them about Alzheimer-related issues. Association advocates have helped raise government funds for Alzheimer's research and improved access to long-term care for persons in our community.

  • Chapter Administration
Assist in the many administrative tasks needed to keep our chapter running smoothly.

  • Board Service
Support our Chapter by playing a leadership role in the work of the Association. Our Board of Directors provides strategic direction for the Chapter and helps to strengthen our program and services.

If you have a professional background in health care, marketing, public relations or accounting, your expertise can enhance the quality of our programs and services, such as public awareness campaigns, speakers bureau, education, orientation meetings, and much more.
